The internet has been abuzz lately over photos of a 19-year-old girl from Iran who supposedly underwent over 50 cosmetic procedures to look like her favorite Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie. Instead of looking like Jolie, however, Sahar Tabar appeared to look similar to the ‘Corpse Bride’ in Tim Burton’s movie.
A few days later, someone on Reddit pointed out various spots on Tabar’s photos which he thought were Photoshop marks that showed the teen had been editing her photos, perhaps to look creepier than what she really looked like in person.
But people have already been bashing Tabar for her looks, saying she should sue her surgeon. Others advised the teen to love herself and be happy with herself so that she doesn’t have to undergo more surgeries just to look like someone else.
After keeping mum for several days, however, Tabar finally spoke up. She scoffed at those who called her names, saying these people were ignorant for not knowing how to differentiate makeup and technological tricks (Photoshop, perhaps?) with botched cosmetic surgery.
“This is Photoshop and makeup. Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way. It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face,” she revealed.
She did admit to getting a few cosmetic enhancements but the ‘over 50 procedures’ as the reports first suggested.
“I had a nose, enlarged mouth and liposuction. I see nothing wrong with the operations: many people in the world undergo this kind of treatment,” she admitted.
As for the supposed extreme weight loss of 40kg, again Tabar said that is not true. She admitted to losing weight but only about 5-7kg, maintaining her figure at 54kg which is actually within normal range.
Proving that the photos on her Instagram page were actually just special effects and makeup, Tabar posted her actual face – and you’ve got to admit she’s gorgeous, right?
