John Carlo Pasigay is about to graduate Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Teachers from Philippine Normal University-Manila in Manila, Philippines and he made sure to pay tribute to his late dad who was very proud of him and his achievements even if the old man was only able to see him graduate from high school.
The DailyPedia reports that Pasigay shared a photo of his late father taken during his high school graduation to commemorate his dad’s death anniversary last August 2013. In the post Pasigay detailed how his dad had been sick but still tried his best to attend his graduation.
[He was sick on the day of my graduation, but that did not hinder him from attending. He was so happy to know his son is a valedictorian. He would always proudly share my accomplishments. He was my number one fan.]”
Pasigay mused that his late dad had worked hard to earn money as a construction worker just to ensure that his kids can go to school.
Knowing that his late dad was not only his number one fan but had also worked doubly hard for their education, it was but natural that Pasigay felt sad that his dad could not witness his graduation from college, especially considering that the old man had specifically instructed his wife, Pasigay’s mom, to make sure that their youngest son finishes his studies in college.
[I always remember you and your smile. You love and caring will always be in my heart].”
