For looking different from the other kids, Luis Padron from Formosa, Argentina was bullied by his peers. He took to reading fantasy books as escape from the teasing. This soon developed into a love for fantasy characters, something that would inspire him to fully be different from all the rest.
By age 14, he wanted to become a real-life elf and vowed that he would someday change his body to become his own perception of beauty.
He didn’t have a lot of friends, so he spent most of his time poring over fantasy books and watching fantasy movies. He also enjoyed cosplaying and would later become a model, thanks to his elf-like looks.
“I want to be an elf, an angel and a fantasy being, my aim is to look inhuman, ethereal, graceful and delicate. I have my own beauty ideal and want to achieve that no matter what,” Luis said.
“I consider myself trans-species, in the same way transgender people feel, I need to become how I feel inside, I don’t expect people to understand but I ask they respect it.”
By the time he was 20 years old, Luis had saved enough to undergo his first cosmetic surgery. It was his first step to becoming a ‘real-life’ elf.
He wouldn’t actually reveal the exact procedure but admitted that he’s had undergone body modifications like a nose job, liposuction on the jaw, Botox injections, fillers, full hair body removal, laser skin bleaching to remove spots and freckles, and even a medically unapproved operation so his brown eyes could become crystal blue.
In the future, he plans on undergoing a limb-lengthening surgery to become 6ft 5in tall, get hair implants to have a heart-shaped hairline, and remove a couple of ribs so his waist could become thinner.
“I want to have my ears cut to become pointy like an elves, my jaw to look more sharp like a diamond, a face-lift and an eye-lift to give my eyes a cat-like shape. I am also consider having muscle implants, too,” he added.
Luis has spent thousands of dollars to look like an elf – and he does get much attention everywhere he goes even when he’s not in costume. But while he was bullied for his looks when he was younger, many admire him now for his strange but ethereal appearance.
