Cops in Oklahoma City are looking for the man who tried to abduct a kid from a wrestling tournament at the State Fairgrounds located in the city. According to reports, Oklahoma City Police responded to a call for help from the organizers of the wrestling match after a man tried to abduct an 8-year-old child from among the thousands of kids attending the competition.
It was a good thing that the boy was alert and quickly screamed while also kicking the man. This led to the would-be kidnapper to drop the boy and quickly leave the premises.
With so many people about, the man was able to blend in and get out of the premises without getting apprehended but the tournament organizers were thankful that he is alright.
It is currently still unknown why the man tried to kidnap the boy and whether he knew the child or was just randomly trying to kidnap a child from the venue.
For now, the police are trying to find more information regarding the would-be abductor – especially because CCTV footage of the incident was grainy and did not really show the man’s face.
The cops hope that anyone with information regarding the incident will call Crime Stoppers at 405/235-7300 or leave a tip online at www.okccrimetips.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could get a cash reward for helping identify the criminal.
