“If there’s a will, there’s a way!” – an adage that perfectly describes one disabled man who refused to give up and just wait for help to come his way. To feed his family, he converted his wheelchair into a ‘rolling store’ so he could sell buko salad, a favorite Filipino dessert, at the market area of Caloocan City in Metro Manila, Philippines.
According to A. Sabalza, the social media user who shared the photo with Facebook page, Proud Pinoy, this disabled man could be seen daily at the market as he sells his buko salad. Despite his disability, he continues to sell his goods everyday so he could earn a living for his family.
For his ingenuity, the still unnamed disabled vendor earned the admiration of hundreds of netizens who praised him for doing the best he could considering his circumstances whereas there are others who are physically fit and able to work but would rather steal from other people instead of earn an honest living for themselves.
