Going Home: A Touching Story of a Grandmother’s Love
Everything my grandma does is something special made with love. She takes time to add the extra touch that says, “I love you very much”. —-Author Unknown
Whether its Gram, Grandma, Granny, Mama, Momsie, Wowa, Lola—this I can tell you, there’s no question on a grandparent’s love for their grandchildren. Having grandparents are one of the greatest things anyone could ever have.
Growing up, I’ve always wondered how it’d be like if I was given the chance to spend my childhood with my grandparents. Sadly, I didn’t have the chance to. I’ve always envied other children who got to spend more time with their grandparents; mine I only got to see for a short time until they left and went to heaven.
Let me share with you this sad and touching story of the love of a grandmother. Because of dementia, grandmother lost her way back her home after she went out to buy food for her granddaughter.
We may be busy everyday and forget that as we are growing old, our grandparents are not getting any younger. If you get the chance, please do me a favor—let your grandparents know how much you love them and how much lucky you are to have time to spend with them before it is too late.
