Her Husband Is Late For Their Daughter’s Recital. The Reason Will Move You To Tears…
A/N: Grab your tissues, you might need them later.
“What if you were given the chance to do something you’ve always wanted to do…but you had to start today?
For you, what would you do? I never thought that an advertisement from Quaker could move me to tears but this short video entitled “The Recital” did exactly that. At the start of the video, a simple question was asked, “What if you were given the chance to do something you’ve always wanted to do …but you had to start today?“. There can be thousands of different answers for this simple question–there are many things that I’ve always wanted to do but somehow I keep putting them off.
We probably have heard this story a million times: it’s the day of the big recital but Mom and/or Dad is tied up with workload and ends up being late, or worse, he or she doesn’t make it at all and lets the whole family down. Well, grab some tissues now, because this awesome and heartwarming video from Quaker Canada has a unique twist to that story.
In the video below, a young girl named Lauren and her dad, Michael, were asked one very simple question: What is something you’ve always wanted to do? And they both have the same answer: they want to spend more time together. Quaker offered them the chance to do so but the twist was that they had to start that day. Lauren is a dancer and she had a dance recital coming up and the one thing she really wanted was for her dad, Michael, to perform with her.
On the day of the recital, Mom found herself next to an empty seat because Dad is nowhere to be found! Mom calls him repeatedly, worried that he might miss their daughter’s big performance. Where is he?
Watch the video below and find out.
This just goes to show just how far parents will go to make their kids happy. Did you enjoy watching the video? This may be an advertisement for Quaker, but this sure did a wonderful job of pulling your heartstrings in the process.
