How do animals react when they see a mirror? Our dogs and cats at home often get mad at the image in the mirror or try to befriend the creature, believing it was another animal – not themselves.

Now, CNN’s Randi Kaye went to the Baltimore National Aquarium to cover the experiment being done by scientist Diana Reiss of the City University of New York. Diana placed a two-way mirror in the dolphin tank to check just how the creatures will react to their own reflections.

It is said that dolphins are almost as intelligent as humans – so, scientists theorize that they will be able to quickly realize that the dolphin in the mirror is not another dolphin but themselves.
