Did you know that it has been 15 years since “The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring” film was released? Yeah, we know it seemed like it was just yesterday… The cast thinks so, too!
Last month, coinciding with the film’s 15th anniversary, Orlando Bloom (he played Legolas, an elf) posted some behind-the-scenes photos.
Yesterday, five members of the original Fellowship of the Ring (comprised of nine members) enjoyed a mini reunion. Dominic Monaghan (he played Meriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck, a hobbit) shared photos with fellow LOTR cast as they enjoyed a meal at an unnamed restaurant.
He was joined by Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn, King of Gondor), Bloom, Elijah Wood (Frodo, a hobbit), and Billy Boyd (Peregrin “Pippin” Took, a hobbit). They posed for some selfies, with Monaghan sharing one snapshot of him and Mortensen captioned, “My captain. My king.”
The five also had a good time recreating a fight scene from the mines of Moria; although this one was less scary as they were holding, errrrrr, knives and forks instead of their weapons! LOL.
The mini reunion photos were a hit with fans, quickly becoming viral.
Have you watched the LOTR film series? What do you think of this mini reunion?
