Still unsure of what to give your significant other this Valentine’s Day? Well, why not some money? Gifts will be greatly appreciated but people do love to receive money, whether they admit it or not.
Of course, it would be boring and rather impersonal to just hand your special someone some money. It would better if you try something more personalized or sweet, such as making a ‘money bouquet’.
One woman in Thailand recently went viral after she made a special bouquet of money for her boyfriend. The money amounted to THB104,000 (US$3,200) which the woman so lovingly crafted to look like flowers in a large bouquet.
While the gesture wasn’t popular because women don’t usually give extravagant gifts and bouquets to men, 20-year-old university student Pilaslak Puenchoke went viral because a lot of people thought her actions were sweet.
“The bouquet was his birthday and Valentine’s gift in one. He’d want men’s stuff, and I don’t know what to pick out for him. I saw the idea [of a money bouquet] on Instagram and wanted him to have it,” Puenchoke explained.
Cool idea, isn’t it? And her boyfriend, identified only as ‘Tua’, appeared to truly love the gesture as he was grinning from ear to ear when the accepted the bouquet from Puenchoke.
A number of netizens bashed Puenchoke for being ‘too extravagant’ for her boyfriend but many also defended her actions, especially after learning she earned the money on her own by selling cosmetic products online.
Many did praise her for the sweet gesture, admitting that it’s difficult to pick gifts for men and it was a good idea that she just gave him money via a lovely method so her boyfriend can buy the ones he really wanted but still getting the money in a way that made it truly look like a gift. Sweet, isn’t it?
