Man with Down Syndrome Outperforms Hundreds of People, Wins a Place in Annual Bodybuilding Contest

There were around 1,500 competitors in the 14th annual Kentucky Muscle Strength & Fitness Extravaganza held at the Kentucky International Convention on November 14, 2015. All of them showcased stunning physique and amazing strength yet there was one who stood out from all the rest: a guy named Collin Clarke.

The 22-year-old hails from Evansville, Indiana – but that’s not the reason why he stood out. You see, Collin has Down syndrome, a medical condition with easy-to-spot symptoms because of the affected person’s appearance.

Yet Collin is a determined young man who had set his eyes on one goal: to achieve a well-sculpted body and, possibly, win in the bodybuilding contest. His year-long hard work paid off because he finished in fifth place in the Novice category.

After Collin’s story went viral, thousands of people congratulated him not just for a job well done at the competition but also for his determination and hard work to get to where he is now. We echo their words, too. Congratulations, Collin!
