Lethebo Rabalago, 24, is not your ordinary religious ‘prophet’. Pictures of him spraying an insect killer to his followers went viral on social media because the action was simply absurd.
The photos ware captured during a church service in Limpopo, South Africa. It was then identified that he was using Doom Super Multi Insect Killer to spray on the faces of his followers. He did not even make an effort to conceal the aerosol container.
When the story became news, Brand Tigers, the creator of the spray immediately released a statement that spraying Doom into faces is very unsafe. The package clearly states this in the instructions and health warnings.
After he was questioned about his methods, he proudly proclaims that a lot of people who were sick were cured after they were sprayed. He said no one was injured and declined to say how many of his followers were healed.
Comments from social media clearly warns people on what fanaticism can do. Religious ‘prophets’ can make their followers ‘blind’ and disable the very basic forms of common sense.
