Teacher Makes Students Deposit Their Phones on His Desk… Yay or Nay?

This generation has seen plenty of advances in science and technology, particularly in the communications field. While in the past it took months for people to communicate with each other if lived miles away, they can now easily do so within an instant – and on video, too!

But while technology has many advantages, it does bring a number of disadvantages even in the classroom setting. For instance, students can easily tune out their teacher as they enjoy browsing the internet or playing on their cellphones; they can even cheat easier now.

So, teachers face a huge challenge in this issue.

One teacher seems to have found a way to solve the problem – by asking students to deposit their phones on this box at his desk.

What can you say about this? Do you think it is fair for the teacher to make his students deposit their phones on his desk?

It’s fair. Their tuition gets paid for them to study, not fiddle with their phones. They can do so after classes.
