When Jake Quickenden auditioned for The X Factor UK 2014, his first song choice was terrible and his guitar skills were less than impressive. Just as the song picked up pace, the judges told him to stop. It was not a good sign, really.

While asking him some questions, the judges learned his brother died the previous year. He was told to use that experience to draw his emotions from while singing another song on his list, Say Something.

He left his guitar at the sidelines and began singing. His emotional rendition of the song was enough to pull at the heartstrings of the listeners, making them cry.

Even the judges were teary eyed as they watched him sing in an awesome performance which Simon Cowell later called as a 101% effort. Truly admirable!
