Spanish artist Eloy Morales creates a stunning series of what first appears to be selfies of a man (usually himself) with paint on his face. It makes no sense at all – who poses with paint on their face, anyway?

Well, not until you realize that these weren’t photographs but perfectly detailed hyperrealistic oil paintings on canvas! Yep. You read it right. These are real paintings –and most are larger than life. In fact, each of the face paintings is on a canvas measuring 160 cm x 160 cm…and in case you miss the Math there, that’s 1.6 meters by 1.6 meters!

This is another one of those “Don’t judge a book by its cover” stuff. Well, the idea here is to not judge a man by his selfies.

Take a look at some of his stunning selfies. They are guaranteed to blow your mind!

This picture would have looked like a selfie of a man with a strange fetish for putting paint on his face.
