For hundreds of years, humans have enjoyed eating pork dishes – but would you eat a dish that has a ‘whole’ pig in it? Well, that surely depends on what ‘whole’ pig means, really, since roasted pig is clearly served whole and everyone loves to eat that!
In Japan, there’s a restaurant that serves ‘pig’ dishes, not pork dishes.
Items on the menu vary but the dishes come with ‘whole’ pigs which are actually just plastic replicas of pigs. You’ve got to admit the imagery is not so cool when you think about eating real, live pig – thankfully, these little pigs swimming in soup and lounging on a salad plate are simply used to attraction customers to the restaurant.
While there have been a number of curious diners, the marketing ploy seems to also disturb the public who said that they do not wish to be reminded about the live pigs butchered so people can eat pork meat while they are dining.
Still, if you were served these ‘pig’ dishes, would you dare eat these?
