Every year, thousands of accidents happen and many people are killed in these road accidents. Sadly, most of these accidents occur because people aren’t paying attention or were distracted during the drive (using their smartphones, talking with someone, etc.). Nowadays, almost everyone has a smartphone or phablet, which keeps them from keeping their eyes on the road- a very dangerous thing indeed.
In this video uploaded by YouTube user Puget Sound Energy, we see two drivers using the phone while driving. They almost crash into each other but the male driver tries his best to avoid the car, resulting in him bumping a power pole instead. We see both drivers were ‘safe’ from the crash, with no bruises or cuts, but the worst was yet to come. Live wires were lying around and over the car, making it more dangerous if the man walks out. He then calls 911 and stayed inside the car and waited– but then some part of the car started heating up and he needed to get out.

This video is very informative and helpful. It can help you if ever you find yourself involved in a car accident (we do hope not). Assume that all wires are live. Do not get out of your car unless it is on fire. And if you must get out of your car because of fire or other immediate life-threatening situation, do your best to jump clear of the car and land on both feet. Then shuffle away from the car, keeping both feet close together, to minimize the path of electric current and avoid electric shock.
