For years now, many fans have theorized that Disney films are actually interconnected and probably happen ‘in the same universe’; though the entertainment conglomerate has kept mum about the matter until now.
Just this week, fans were greeted with great news from Disney – and it also came with a video which confirmed that, indeed, the theories were correct all along. Disney films are interconnected in some way or another and though they have different genres and happen in different settings, they still exist in the same universe.
For example, characters in some movies often appear as toys or dolls or shown in posters in other movies (such as Sully from “Monsters Inc.” appearing as a carved mosaic in “Brave”). Also, certain places or landmarks in some movies appear in other movies (such as Gusteau’s restaurant from “Ratatouille” becomes Gastow’s in “Cars”).
While many think that all these were just a coincidence, others believe that those were placed there for fans to find. That is why these ‘coincidences’ are called ‘Easter eggs’. Many fans often try their best to find Easter eggs in the movies they watch – not just in Disney movies but in others as well [such as the Avengers movie series, for example].
Have you noticed Easter eggs in the movies you’ve watched?
Check out this video and see some of the Easter eggs pointed out by the folks at Disney:
Oh my spurs! You ain’t never seen Easter eggs like these, partner. 👀
