Darrel Fremming and his family were having fun at Bukal Falls in Mayjayjay, Laguna in the Philippines on his last day in the country but the trip suddenly turned into a nightmare when a flashflood suddenly came crashing down.
Fremming later shares videos of the trip on social media.
In his post on YouTube, Fremming narrated how he and some of his relatives had gone to Bukal Falls. They continued their trip despite the rains, not knowing of the danger that lies ahead.
Capturing their fun moments on video, little did they know that the camera would also capture their nightmare at Bukal Falls.
When they arrived at the falls, they had fun swimming in the waters of the natural pools below it. There was no warning whatsoever of what was about to happen – but Fremming was thankful that he and his uncle had gotten out of the water just seconds before the water came crashing down.
Who knows what could have happened to them had they been still there, considering the huge rocks along the route of the river?
Fremming lost his phone in sudden deluge but as his aunt pointed out, he was still lucky to be alive.
Here’s the video of their nightmarish experience:
It was a freak accident but this should also serve as warning to all nature-lovers to be extra careful when vacationing and to, perhaps, postpone their trips especially to waterfalls hidden in the mountains when rains have been pouring down for days.
