A young widow was saddened by the fact that her husband didn’t recognize her on their honeymoon. Emma Cotillard endures the pain of rejection, especially after learning that her husband has a tumor on his brain. She is willing to help those that have the same condition.
Her husband Justin Cotillard passed away less than a year after their wedding night. During their honeymoon, she recalled that her husband screamed at her.
“He thought I was a stranger. He didn’t remember that I was seven months pregnant with our first baby,” says Emma.
When they got home in UK, Justin underwent MRI scan, which revealed that he has brain tumor. Take note that he was an active ‘amateur boxer and keen footballer’. There was no hope, but his doctor said that they would try surgery followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It might work and allow Justin to live two more years.
However, after four months, his scan revealed that there was no hope since the tumor has grown even bigger.
On October 2015, doctors said that Justin won’t be able to live long. They told Emma to get Justin out of the hospital. But Justin fought back and was able to live for seven months more, to celebrate his birthday and Christmas before succumbing to his illness.
Emma wants to share her story to the world, so that more people would become aware of it.
According to Medicine Net, brain tumors have these common symptoms, which include ‘headaches; numbness or tingling in the arms or legs; seizures, memory problems; mood and personality changes; balance and walking problems; nausea and vomiting; changes in speech, vision, or hearing.’
