94-Year-Old Woman Celebrates Decades of Working at McDonald’s, Reveals having No Plans of Retiring Soon!

For 44 years, Loraine Maurer has worked at a McDonald’s outlet in her hometown of Evansville, Indiana but if you think the 94-year-old worker is slowing down and heading for retirement, you’re wrong! Because Miss Loraine, as everyone calls her, has no plans of retiring soon because she absolutely enjoys her job!

If you don’t like your job, it’s a job, but I love it. The people, the clientele, that’s why I stuck with it,” she tells People.

She also revealed that she enjoys the job so much that she no longer treats customers as mere customers because many of them have actually become her friends!

My customers make my life. I have traveled with them, gone to ball games with them. They’re friends, not just customers,” Miss Loraine said.

Indeed, the customers have become her friends that the regulars frequently offer to drive her home after her shift ends! Summer is especially challenging but she never runs out of friends who give her a lift.

Chip and Katie Kenworthy, owners of the McDonald’s outlet Miss Loraine is working in, are grateful for her contribution to their store. They celebrated her 44th year of service with an anniversary bash attended by some of the store’s most loyal customers – the perfect celebration for the store’s oldest and longest-serving worker.

After all these years, she remains committed to serving her customers with one of the most delightful smiles around. Loraine has a loyal following of customers and they look forward to having her take their orders when visiting McDonald’s,” the Kenworthy couple revealed.

The internet has also gone crazy after learning that Miss Loraine has been eating McDonald’s food for most of her life, as she eats there during her shift and also receives delivery on occasions that she can’t go to work.

While frequent eating of fastfood is often said to shorten one’s life, 94-year-old Miss Loraine is proof that you can live long even if you always eat fastfood – although we still wouldn’t recommend that, of course!
