Brave Woman Saves Her Life from Abusive Boyfriend by Slipping a Note to Her Vet

Thirty nine-year-old Jeremy Floyd who held captive his 28-year-old girlfriend for two days and threatened to kill her and her entire family was put behind bars after his brave girlfriend slipped a note to her vet that says “Call the cops, my boyfriend is threatening me. He has a gun. Please don’t let him know”.

According to ABC News, Police from the DeLand Police Department came to the DeLand Animal Hospital and quickly took Floyd. He has prior felony convictions on his record.

Speaking to the police the woman said that Floyd repeatedly battered her on Wednesday night and threatened her at gunpoint and physically prevented her from leaving their home.

Good thing the woman’s quick thinking saved her life, she managed to make him believe that their dog needed a vet’s attention; he agreed to take her to the veterinarian. However, on the way to the clinic, Floyd pointed a gun at her and threatened her again to kill her and her entire family. As soon as they arrived, she quickly went to the bathroom and wrote the note and secretly slipped it to one of the vet’s staff members.

The trauma that she experienced is really unimaginable. Finally the woman was set free; she was taken to DeLand Florida Hospital and currently being treated for her injuries like a head wound, black eye, bruised arms and legs, and scratches on her hands and fingers.

Floyd is now being charged with a number of crimes, including domestic violence, aggravated assault with the firearm, false imprisonment, simple battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is now held at Volusia County Branch Jail without bail.
