It was Christmas Eve when Mike Hermanstorfer rushed his wife Tracey to the hospital for the birth of their third son. But the joyful moment turned to horror when Tracey suddenly went into cardiac arrest and died right before Mike’s eyes.
Doctors quickly tried to revive Tracey but would soon realize that it was too late. She is ****.
Her skin began to turn gray, she was no longer breathing, and she no longer had a pulse. Knowing they could still save the baby, the doctors hurried on with the C-section but were dismayed to see the baby also lifeless.
“She had no pulse, no heartbeat, was not breathing and was turning gray. She was ****,” Dr. Stephanie Martin confirmed.
Doctors had no idea why Tracey went into cardiac arrest but they continued to try and revive the pair as Mike watched helplessly.
“Half of my family was lying there right in front of me — there’s no other way to say it — ****. I lost all feeling. Once her heartbeat stopped, I felt like mine did, too,” Mike recalled.
Much to their surprise, Tracey’s heartbeat returned. The doctors were perplexed but everyone was thankful that she came back to life.
But the whole room would soon shout in jubilation when the newborn baby began to breathe! It was like Tracey came back from the **** and called her baby back to life as well.
The doctors could not begin to explain what exactly happened but Mike wasn’t looking for an explanation. He was just so thankful that his wife and newborn kid are alive!
The relieved dad later said, “There’s only one explanation for having either one of them, let along both of them here. It’s just an absolute miracle.”
Doctors warned the couple that there might have been complications brought by the baby’s ordeal but the child grew up healthy and strong.
