College Student Quit School to Become a Butcher in Family Business inside Wet Market
She was pursuing a philosophy degree at Fu Jen Catholic University but 25-year-old Charlene Chang left school to become a butcher and attend to the family business at Taipei City’s Dongmen Market.
The career shift was made even more pronounced by the fact that student-turned-butcher is a gorgeous girl with a slender frame – someone you would least expect to be a butcher!
Her presence in the wet market stall has changed the atmosphere, bringing in more customers who were all clamoring for her number. Plenty of young men would be hanging out at the stall and buying their meat just for the chance to talk to her and, perhaps, be the lucky guy who would get her number.
Moms and grandmas also began favoring their shop in hopes that she would agree to marry their sons/grandsons.
Charlene became so popular in the market that she earned the moniker “Pork Princess”. What does she have to say about this? She said, “There isn’t a single name with ‘pork’ in it that sounds nice, it feels greasy.” As for the suitors and hopeful moms/grandmas, she merely laughed and said she’s hoping she can find the right man by her own means. She also hopes to live a simple life.
Well, unless there’s a sign in the market that she’s already married, she would certainly continue to attract these adoring fans and customers.
Here are some of her photos when she’s not working as butcher at the market:
