Toblerone is one of the most recognizable brands in the world – and its iconic pyramid-shaped chocolates are a favorite among chocolate lovers but this has recently changed! Instead of the usual ‘mountain range’ of pyramids all lined up for you to break off and enjoy, the new design thin triangles (not pyramids) with a huge gap in between!
It clearly upset a lot of customers that Toblerone released this new design which they believe is an insult to the iconic design of the chocolate brand.
So, while America was busy with election and news that Donald Trump has won the presidency, Europe was feeling angry with Toblerone’s new design. A lot of people think that the new design actually looks like the spikes that cops use to burst the tires of suspects’ vehicles. Eeeeek! That bad, eh?
Many demanded an explanation from the brand who later released an official statement declaring that the manufacturers decided to change to design to ensure that they can still provide their customers with the triangular design at about the same price as the old one despite the rise in the costs of ingredients used in production.
But with mostly negative reaction from customers, it just might be a good idea for the brand to revert to its old design, right?
