Dad Complains About Lack of Diaper Changing Stations in Men’s Restrooms

Today is the age of gender equality and parenting roles cannot be stereotyped anymore. With that said, what is available in a women’s restroom should also be present in men’s bathroom, especially if it is essential to help each parent take care of their child, just like a diaper changing station.

A father took online his disappointment over the lack of diaper changing tables in men’s restroom. Chris Mau and his family went for a walk when his daughter Kali cried, telling them that something is wrong. He realized that his daughter needed a diaper change, so they entered an indoor playground. Being a kid-friendly establishment, they thought that it would be convenient for them to change Kali’s diaper there.

Chris took Kali to the men’s restroom but found out soon that there is no diaper changing station inside. In fact, Kali could not even fit into the counter space. So, Mau grabbed a towel and laid it on the floor and changed Kali’s diaper there while thinking that such situation is unnecessary and preventable.

He added that this problem plagues a lot of moms and dads everywhere. According to him, he is getting sick of changing his daughter’s diaper on the floor because the changing tables are only available inside the women’s restroom, especially that dads like him need to take care of their kids, too.

Mau hopes that his Facebook post, which has been shared more than 143,000 times and will inspire positive change for parents and children alike.
