Before leaving for the hospital to give birth to their twins, Brigette Honey and husband Chris thought it would be great to take one last pregnancy snapshot. After all, she’ll be holding two babies in her arms when they get back; so, the last pregnancy shot is a great idea for sure.
Chris did not think much about the photo until after Brigette gave birth to the twins and she began fighting for her life. Although the twins, Abby and Austin, were safe and health, Brigette suffered amniotic fluid embolism, a condition with a low survival rate of only 20%.
Her heart rate dropped to very dangerous levels and she had internal bleeding. Thankfully, the two emergency surgeries done to stop the internal bleeding were successful and Brigette’s condition soon stabilized.
As Brigette was making her recovery, Chris browsed through the photos they took before they went to the hospital – and spotted something that the family believes to be a sign that a miracle is about to happen.
In the snapshot, Brigette had a halo around her head. Of course, a lot of people were quick to point out that this was no halo but merely glare from the flash reflected on the flat-screen TV at Brigette’s back yet the family believes it wasn’t just a simple glare.
Whether it was really just glare or a sign from the heavens, we’re all thankful that Brigette recovered. That was the real miracle of all!
