We all have tried our luck at the lottery at some point. We place our bets and imagine how we will spend the cash prize– buy a house, go on a vacation, or start a business. Who wouldn’t want to have their liv
es changed forever?
A man from Maryland had luck on his favor as he won the $30,000 jackpot prize from a scratch off ticket he offered his friend. The 23-year-old man and his colleague were at a 7-Eleven store in Eldersburg when they thought about buying scratch off tickets.
The lottery winner told his friend he should buy the tickets, which costs $3. Fortunately for him, his friend was not interested.
“He told me he did not like Skee-Ball because he never hit on it. Then, he said, ‘You should play it if you think it is a winner.’ I took his advice and now I am a winner!” he recounted.
The $3 scratch off ticket gave him $30,000. “It is really a funny story. I would not consider myself a Lottery player, so this really should not have happened to me at all,” he said.
The cash prize is an early Christmas gift for him and his mother. He said he is planning to buy a new car and a gaming computer. He also wants to give his mom something special this holiday season.
“I can’t wait to see the look on her face this Christmas,” he said.
What a lucky man indeed.
