Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow are now married.
The couple tied the knot in a ceremony that was witnessed by 250 guests at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, Africa on January 20, as disclosed by People.
On Instagram, Demi shared a photo of them walking while guests throw flowers and captioned it “Forever and Always.” Tim, meanwhile, said he is ready and excited for what God had prepared his heart for. He also thanked everyone who helped make their wedding a success.
“So grateful and blessed for these past several days. Thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement and thank you to all of our amazing vendors who helped make the day possible,” he said, also calling Demi his “forever.”
The couple also exchanged vows that they personally wrote with Tim saying that he wanted to “make sure they are just right.” “I want the vows to be perfect. I’m leaving in the traditional things like ‘till d
eath do us part,’ but I’m also adding some of my own things to it,” the groom told People.
People reported that the custom-made wedding dress from David’s Bridal, which Demi wore, was only one of the 50 dresses she considered.
Today said that Demi and Tim first met in an event hosted by the latter’s Tim Tebow Foundation, a non-profit organization. He said Demi has a sister with special needs so they invited her to the event and that was when they started talking.
Tim shared the news of their engagement on Instagram in January 2019. He said, “Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world. You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Congratulations and Best wishes, Mr. and Mrs. Tebow!
