When it is hot outside, one’s instincts would tell him to drink water and hydrate himself. But that is for humans. Other beings, like the animals, would reach for a more natural source available nearby. However, desperate times call for desperate measures—just like this squirrel from a video taken in Grand Canyon that drank from a water bottle in order to quench his thirst.
Though the scene was impressive because it is not every day that you can see a squirrel who knows how to drink water from a bottle, it did not sit well with most netizens. Most of them are worried that the squired must have been really thirsty if it was able to do such thing and some netizens are suggesting that parks and wildlife should have water stations where the animals could go and have something to hydrate themselves, especially in such dry season.
On the other hand, while there are those who are commending the visitor for helping out the little squirrel, some expressed concern that tourists should not get that close to the animals in the Grand Canyon, as some of them could be carrying plagues that could pose health risks.
