Prankster Vandals have an Interesting Idea on How to Modernize a Historical Artifact

Sometimes vandals take it to the next level.

A decorative Soviet Star in the city of Voronezh, Russia has been redesigned by vandals. The Soviet-era monument instantly became a modern art after it was turned into Patrick Starfish, SpongeBob Squarepants’ famous sidekick.

Most Russian people are not happy about it because artefacts from Soviet past are usually treated with respect.

The vandalism has caused a lively debate in social media. Most people are on consensus that they do not necessarily agree with what the vandals have done but they definitely enjoyed the humor behind it.

The Police are now looking for the person or persons responsible for the Soviet star makeover. They could face 15 days of detention which is probably not so bad. The restoration will cost the city around $1,500 which can be charged to the vandals if ever they are caught.
