Parting ways and saying “goodbye” are the hardest things that a person in a relationship has to do. However, there are unavoidable circumstances when one has to leave the significant other for things that should be prioritized like when they pursue studies in another country.
While it would be very painful for him to see his girlfriend leave, this Malaysian guy did something so sweet that many women might wish to have him as their partner!
A Malaysian guy named Anthony accompanied his girlfriend named Debbie in going to the airport as she was scheduled to leave for Taiwan with her family to study there for 2 years. Little did she know that Anthony had prepared a surprise for her that she was all tears when they parted ways at the airport.
Apparently, few days before Debbie’s scheduled flight, Anthony bought his own ticket the last minute and took the same flight to surprise her. The ticket amounted to RM 800 (US$200) but Anthony said it was all worth it for as long as he can make his girlfriend happy.
“Although this may be a rather short surprise but the most important thing is I was able to make you smile. Being able to put that smile on your face is the most satisfying feeling in the world,” Anthony said in his post on Facebook which was intended for Debbie.
Anthony was so candid as he tried his best not to be recognized from the time he boarded on the same airplane where Debbie and her family were until they landed in Taiwan. In fact, he disguised himself by wearing a mask and a cap so that he will not be noticed and maintained a distance from her so that his surprise will not be wasted.
As soon as Anthony was able to locate his girlfriend and her family, he took some photos near them and even photobomb their pictures to slowly reveal his presence. It took a while until he was recognized by Debbie who was very happy to see him as she hugged him too tight while crying and laughing at the same time for too much love and joy to handle.
While the two were happy for being together, Anthony was sad that he had to leave after two days to go back to his work.
“Even though I could only accompany you for a short while, everything is worth it just to see you smile so happily,” Anthony said with regret.
Meanwhile, Anthony posted this very meaningful and sweet message for Debbie on his social media account:
“I hope that you will always be as happy as you were today even when I’m not with you. Take care of yourself in Taiwan and do not be afraid of having a long distance relationship. You’ll be finishing your studies after two years and after that we can be together, always. Thank you for letting me love you and also your family for treating me so good. I love you.”
Isn’t that very sweet?
