Sarah Thistlewaite’s daughters, Jenna and Jillian, are one set of amazing twins. Why? The twins, who were born last May 9 in Akron, Ohio, shared an amniotic sac and placenta, a rare condition known as momnoamnioitic or ‘mono mono’, one of the rarest form of pregnancy among twins. It’s a condition that happens in one of every 10,000 pregnancies, making up just 1% of all twin pregnancies.

What’s more fascinating about the Thistlewaite twins is that they came out holding hands! Amazing, isn’t it?

“They’re already best friends,” said Akron, Ohio, mom Sarah Thistlethwaite.

Six months later? The twins are doing well and are still inseparable. Although the parents are sometimes having trouble telling the two apart, still, the joy they bring to the family is incomparable. The twins also have an older brother, Jaxon, who is 1. The twins looks healthy and happy together, and mom and dad couldn’t be more proud.
