This 90-Year-Old Woman’s Friends Have All Died, So, She Writes Heartbreaking Note Asking Neighbors to Be Her Friend

At age 90, a woman named Wanda is so old that all her friends have died; feeling lonely without any friends left, she wrote notes to her neighbors so she wouldn’t be alone.

Wanda lives by herself at a house in Missouri but while she had a great time with friends in the past, they have all died and left her alone. It is unknown as of press time whether she has a family somewhere but what’s known is that she was feeling so lonely that she decided to write her neighbors a note, asking them to be her friend.

One of those who received the note was Marleen Brooks who was so touched by the letter that she posted this on social media, in hopes that other people would also befriend Wanda.

Would you consider to become my friend. I’m 90 years old- live alone and all my friends have passed away. I’m so lonesome and scared,” the note read. “Please – I pray for someone.

Reading the desperation in Wanda’s letter, Marleen enlisted the help of her best friend to visit the old lady. Together, the two ladies brought the old woman some cupcakes and just spent some time with her.

As expected, Wanda was delighted; although she apologized for writing them the letter.

Wanda told them, “I hope you didn’t think I was stupid for writing you, but I had to do something. Thank you so much for coming over. I’ve lived here for 50 years and don’t know any of my neighbors.

After the post went viral, a lot of people offered to visit Wanda as well. Some suggested that she open a Facebook account for the old lady while others thought she should best open a P.O. box so they can send the lady some cards.

Isn’t sweet that the community is now coming together to make Wanda feel better?
