VIRAL: Little Girl Pleads With Her Divorced Parents to be Friends Again

Parents are the first ones to teach their children the difference between right and wrong, and how to be a good person; but sometimes many adults are so quick to throw these “important things” away and act less mature than kids do, especially when they are experiencing hard times, like when couples are going through a divorce. If you’re a parent and experiencing one or have been through the painful process yourself, you know that not only does it affect you and your spouse, the most part of the difficulty is on the children.

Sometimes the best advice we can ever receive can come from the people you least expect. For example, an adorable 6-year old girl’s words of wisdom has gone viral and is touching hearts across the world after her mother uploaded a video of her pleading with her divorced parents to be friends. Cherish Sherry, from Surrey in Canada, posted the clip of her six-year-old daughter Tiana’s heartfelt advice to Facebook.

After seeing a huge argument between her divorced parents, Tiana sat down with her mom and told her these touching words of wisdom.

“I’m not trying to be mean. I just want all of us to be friends, and if I can be nice I think all of us can be nice too. I’m not trying to be mean but I’m trying to do my best in my heart, nothing else than that. I want you mom, my dad, everyone to be friends. I want everyone to be smiling… …For you and my dad, mom, I think you can do it. I think you can settle your mean heights down a little to short heights.”
