A woman enjoying a quiet stroll at a beach while on vacation got attacked by two men but a stray dog appears out of nowhere, seemingly understanding her situation and saving her from the attackers. She comes back to adopt the stray dog, spending a lot of money just to get the pooch home!

According to a report on Shareably, 25-year-old Georgia Bradley who studies in Plymouth University in London, UK was vacationing in Crete, Greece with her boyfriend when she decided to take a stroll by herself at the beach.

Two men approached her, trying to make conversation. While they said nothing bad at first, alarm bells rang in her head but she didn’t know how to escape them in that secluded beach as there was really no one else around.

When she refused to join them for a drink, one of them grabbed her arm. She was so scared at this point but a stray dog suddenly charged towards them and started barking at the man while seemingly reassuring Georgia that she’s got her covered by licking her hand.

She saved me. She must have noticed something was wrong. When I went back to the apartment she followed me and finally let us stroke her. We had an instant bond,” she recalled.

Georgia named the dog as Pepper but because the trip was over, they had to say goodbye.

When we left to go to the airport we looked back and Pepper was running after the car. It was heartbreaking,” she said.

The scene touched her heart so much. Coupled by the fact that Pepper had saved her life, Georgia decided on adopting the stray dog. She flew back 6,000 miles to Crete and asked help from the local authorities to find the mutt.

They did find Pepper and got a little surprise: she’s pregnant! Georgia processed the adoption papers; though she had to spend more on vaccinations and other shots. Also, Pepper had to be quarantined for 21 days at a kennel in Greece before Georgia was allowed to bring her back to London.

It has been such a crazy journey but I am over the moon. Pepper has settled in brilliantly,” she said.

Georgia had to take two more trips to Greece before she could finally fly back to London with Pepper but she said every single penny she spent wasn’t wasted on her canine hero. A week after she moved to London, Pepper gave birth to six pups!
